Job Description:

About Ungraded Produce

Ungraded Produce is a subscription-based produce delivery service that recovers high quality, ‘ugly’ and surplus produce from both local and national suppliers, delivered to doorsteps at a discount. Each week, we donate a large quantity of produce to local food banks. We are committed to sourcing the highest quality produce, finding ways to make healthy eating easy and affordable for all, and keeping delicious fruits and vegetables out of landfills!

We are looking for highly motivated, resourceful individuals who are eager to work in a startup culture and grow with our company.

  • At least five years of purchasing and logistics management experience in wholesale distribution - food service/produce/meat/dairy/food hub, etc.
  • Solid understanding of food safety planning and procedure implementation - i.e., GAP, Global GAP, and HACCP protocols as they relate to produce.
  • Thoughtful, effective personality who can retain positive, sustainable vendor relationships while maintaining efficiencies in supply-chain of operation.
  • Experience with inbound/outbound logistics software platforms for shipping/receiving wholesale goods.
  • Willingness to change and grow with company and industry - as the wholesale distribution industry morphs and changes - new technologies are integrated regularly.
  • Problem-Solver: startup culture requires a keen attention to detail, as well as providing ample opportunity for creative applicants to develop solutions on the fly.
  • Systems Development: Constant creation, documentation, and implementation of processes. Capacity to teach and coordinate team members on each newly minted process!

  • Salary range of $50,000 based on qualifications, fit, and experience. Negotiable health care premium stipend and equity stake in the business.
  • Paid time off accrued. One day of accrual per 30 days. 90 day trial period before health care stipend and equity stake.
