The two-day event will take place at a farm operation in Northfield, about one hour south of the Twin Cities. On June 28, starting at 4 p.m., Main Street Project (MSP), one of our Regeneration Midwest core partners, will host a tour of the MSP Poultry-Centered Regenerative Agriculture Systems.

On June 29, we’ll hold a morning session that takes a deeper dive into financing of and investment in regenerative agriculture. To cap off the activities on the 29th, there will be a Regeneration Midwest strategy meeting for those who would like to participate, from 11 a.m. -  3 p.m.

Space is limited to 50 participants. Please RSVP here with your full contact information, by June 25.

We’ll provide local, organic and regenerative food. Attendees will need to cover their own lodging and transportation. For a list of nearby hotels, bed & breakfasts and campgrounds, click here.

SCHEDULE:

Day one: a tour and in-depth presentation by the Main Street Project team on what makes the MSP regenerative poultry production system, which integrates poultry with perennial crops and other permaculture-centered regenerative practices, so unique.

Day two: a closer look at how to bring in investment and financing to help develop these systems, as well as a strategy session on Regeneration Midwest business priorities and plans for the October 2018 launch of Regeneration Midwest.

Questions explored:

• How do we finance the transition from degenerative industrial ag production to soil health-based regenerative production practices that support healthy ecosystems and people while also making regenerative agriculture a foundation of all, including rural economic vitality?

• How do we identify, prioritize and verify existing regenerative livestock and crop management systems that have the potential to speed up the transition from degenerative to regenerative agriculture?

• How do we quickly and dramatically scale up the regenerative marketing infrastructure to greatly increase consumer healthy food choices, and bring together the infrastructure to verify the integrity of the supply chain of nutrient-dense products that consumers want but are often unable to find?

• How do we organize ourselves to leverage our existing assets and capital to create real-time business opportunities for farmers and build a supporting infrastructure of aggregators, distributors, markets, brands, etc.?
