Job Detail: Certification Specialist
MOSA Certified Organic is seeking a qualified individual to join our
certification team. We are a nonprofit organic certification agency rooted in
the Midwest with certified clients in over 20 U.S. states. We certify crops,
livestock, processors and handlers.
Primary responsibilities of the Certification Specialist position include
evaluating organic plan information and inputs to determine compliance with
the National Organic Standards, communication with organic operators about
certification requirements, and the performance of on-site organic
inspections. The ideal candidate will have a relevant college or university
degree, or equivalent training and experience, and knowledge of organic
systems and certification. Experience with food science or food processing and
handling is a plus.
We require excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong computer
skills, and the ability to do detail oriented work in a fast paced
environment. This is a full time salaried position with benefits. Salary is
