Job Detail: Digital Content and Graphic Design Specialist

About: 

The Digital Content and Graphic Design Specialist manages National Farmers Union’s network of websites and oversees development of visual content for NFU, including publications, educational and promotional materials, social media graphics, charts, and infographics. The Digital Content and Graphic Design Specialist ensures the organization’s branding consistency and works closely with the Communications Specialist to ensure all external communications carry consistent messaging. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the NFU network of websites, including NFU.org, state Farmers Union websites, and campaign websites. May be required to develop new webpages as needed.

  • Designs NFU publications and outreach material, including advertisements, flyers, newsletters, and policy briefs.

  • Works with Communications Director to create and manage content for NFU digital media platforms, including infographics, charts, memes, and other graphics.

  • Design PowerPoint presentations for speaking engagements in coordination with the Media Relations Director and Government Relations team.

  • Develop graphics and partner/state division toolkits for NFU campaigns.

  • Participate in planning all aspects of NFU annual convention and Washington, DC fly-in.

  • Participate in Farmers Union Media Association (FUMA) conference calls and event coverage and provide strategic direction to state Farmers Union digital strategies.

Position Qualifications: 

Job requires a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, or a related field and a minimum 3 years related work experience. Requires website management and graphic design experience, as well as professional knowledge of InDesign, HTML/CSS, and WordPress. Candidates should have a strong eye for design, be detail-oriented, and possess the ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively. Strong written communication skills are required. Experience in agriculture policy and video editing is a bonus, but not required.

Compensation: 

Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefit package includes paid health, dental, and vision insurance, paid vacations and holidays, and a generous 401k retirement plan.
