Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) Training

Sign up below for Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) training on Tuesday, May 12, from 4 pm to 7 pm Central time. The training will be led by Annalisa Hultberg, U of MN Extension.

GAPs are science-based, farm-level practices for keeping fresh produce safe. This training is strongly encouraged for farmers who grow fruit and vegetables for fresh eating - whether that be farmers' market sales, farmstand, or CSA; or sales to grocery stores, restaurants, and distributors.

Farmers involved in the Farmers' Market Hubs project (https://farmersmarkethub.org) who take this GAPs training, complete an on-farm food safety plan summary, and have their water tested will be recognized in their market's online catalog as an enhanced food safety farmer.

Farmers not involved in the Farmers' Market Hubs project are welcome to attend the webinar, up to a limit of 25 participants. Completing GAPs training and an on-farm food safety plan can be a useful way to market your products to buyers.
